Week 6: Upset alert!

Winless and undefeated teams are no more in the Boston Pizza Cornwall Men’s Basketball League as Joe Lalonde Insurance stunned Clean All with a 64-58 win.  Joel Lariviere was marvelous for Joe Lalonde with 36 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals, while Jordan Leger added 15 points and 9 rebounds.  Derrick Casselman had 17 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks for Clean All while Dave Franklin had 11 points.

It was another close Warner Insurance win over Short Line Convenience, this time by a 61-60 score.  Skyler Chretien led Warner Insurance with 16 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists, while Rory Blackadder had 12 points and 4 assists, Deepaker Yoharaja had 12 points and 3 assists, and Rob Stein added 12 points.  Mike Blackadder had 16 points for Short Line while Jayson DeMary had 14 points and 15 rebounds, and Matt Hutt added 12 points and 19 rebounds.

Elco Electric once again defeated Rayco Team Sports in overtime, this time winning 63-62.  Paul Rother had 26 points (including the game winning free throws), 8 rebounds and 5 steals for Elco Electric, while Ryan Seale had 13 points, and Randy Canham added 11 points and 9 rebounds.  Jordan Amelotte had 18 points and 2 blocks for Rayco while Nick Briere added 14 points, 17 rebounds and 3 assists, and Connor Cameron had 11 points.

Week 5: Five in a row for Clean All

Clean All is still undefeated in Boston Pizza Cornwall Men’s Basketball League action, after a hard fought 91-79 win over Short Line Convenience.  Steven Belanger had 29 points (six 3’s) for Clean All, while Derrick Casselman had 23 points, 23 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks, and Dylan Chatelain had 20 points and 5 assists.  Matt Hutt was amazing for Short Line with 39 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 12/13 free throw shooting, while Mike Blackadder and Ashish Bharti each had 16 points.

Elco Electric moved up to 4-1 after defeating Warner Insurance 76-51.  Randy Canham had 23 points and 4 blocks for Elco Electric while Paul Rother had 22 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals, and Ryan Seale added 11 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists.  Deepaker Yoharaja answered with 23 points and 4 steals for Warner Insurance while Rob Stein had 10 points and shot 6/8 from the free throw line.

It’s 3-2 now for Rayco Team Sports as they demolish Joe Lalonde Insurance 77-48.  Nick Briere was awesome for Rayco with 21 points, 19 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks, while Jordan Amelotte added 18 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals and 3 blocks, and Andre Lefave had 15 points.  Joel Lariviere had 25 points and 3 assists for Joe Lalonde, while Eddy Meus added 9 points and 10 rebounds.

Week 4: Clean All 4-0

In a battle of undefeated teams in the Boston Pizza Cornwall Men’s Basketball League, Clean All came out on top over Elco Electric by a score of 71-66.  Derrick Casselman had 23 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks for Clean All while Steven Belanger had 17 points, 3 assists and 3 steals, and Dave Franklin added 13 points.  Paul Rother was very good for Elco Electric with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 steals, while Randy Canham had 12 points.

Rayco Team Sports levelled their record at 2-2 after defeating Warner Insurance 64-46.  Jordan Amelotte had 19 points and 4 steals for Rayco while Nate Thompson had 14 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals.  Skyler Chretien had 24 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists for Warner Insurance while Carter Cook had 14 points and 8 rebounds.

Short Line Convenience now has their first win this season after defeating Joe Lalonde Insurance 79-49.  Matt Hutt had 23 points for Short Line, Kieran McCourt had 20 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists, Jayson DeMary added 17 points, 15 rebounds and 4 steals, and Mike Blackadder added 13 points.  For Joe Lalonde, Joel Lariviere had 19 points, 5 assists and 3 steals, while Jordan Leger added 11 points.

Week 3: Clean All, Elco Electric off to great starts

Clean All remained undefeated in the Boston Pizza Cornwall Men’s Basketball League after a 68-47 win over Warner Insurance.  Steven Belanger had 19 points for Clean All while Derrick Casselman had 18 points, 21 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 blocks, and Ahmed Nima added 15 points.  Deepaker Yoharaja answered with 18 points, 3 assists and 3 steals for Warner Insurance while Skyler Chretien had 9 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 4 blocks.

Elco Electric is also 3-0 after defeating Joe Lalonde Insurance 83-55.  Randy Canham had 23 points and 9 rebounds for Elco Electric while Paul Rother had 22 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists, Tyler Armstrong had 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Adam Cousineau added 14 points.  For Joe Lalonde, Joel Lariviere had 16 points, 7 assists and 3 steals, while Jordan Leger added 14 points.

Rayco Team Sports picked up their first win of the season, a 58-41 victory over Short Line Convenience.  Jordan Amelotte led the way for Rayco with 18 points and 9 rebounds, while Jake Bruxer had 16 points and 3 steals, and Nick Briere added 10 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals.  Jayson DeMary had 20 points and 11 rebounds for Short Line while Matt Hutt had 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 steals.
